Pints of Bangkok FAQ

Questions about Guinness prices, happy hour deals and pub rankings in Bangkok? Here’s how the tracker works, how prices are verified, and how to suggest updates.

Why was Guinness Thailand created?

After noticing some pretty wide differences in Guinness prices across Bangkok, I started tracking pubs, happy hour deals and pint prices to help the fine people of Bangkok find the best value Guinness around the city. One pub would charge ฿250, another ฿400. The tracker started as a little side project and slowly turned into Bangkok’s unofficial Guinness economy monitor. Let’s get those prices down!

How are prices collected?

Prices are collected mostly through direct checks. Sometimes I use pub menus (although these can be old and not accurate), public information and community submissions. Some are discovered the old-fashioned way: me sitting at a bar with a creamy pint and quietly questioning my life choices after seeing the bill.

How often are prices updated?

Prices are updated whenever new information becomes available. Each listing includes a last verified tool-tip date, but pubs can and do change prices without warning. A Guinness today may not be the same Guinness tomorrow. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to keep the prices as fresh as possible.

Can pubs suggest updates?

Absolutely. If a price, happy hour deal or listing is wrong, please get in touch and I’ll update it ASAP. Pub owners discovering they are accidentally charging “Singapore” prices are also welcome to reach out with a lower price.

Where can I find the cheapest Guinness in Bangkok?

The tracker highlights some of the cheapest Guinness pints currently available across Bangkok, including happy hour deals and promotions. Prices change regularly, but if there’s a decent pint hiding somewhere in Sukhumvit, Silom or beyond, chances are it’ll end up on the map eventually. Right now, my favourite spots include the Black Swan, the British Club, O'Sheas and the Clubhouse.

Will Pints of Bangkok include taste ratings?

Maybe one day. Right now the tracker is focused on prices, happy hour deals and helping people find better value Guinness in Bangkok. Taste is a dangerous game. One person’s “absolute creamer” is another person’s “tasted like it travelled here by tuk tuk”. That said, a proper pint always stands out. Temperature, pour and glass cleanliness can make a surprisingly big difference. The dream is to eventually track both price and pint quality without getting myself into too much trouble.
